HAGIS
HAGIS is a web-GIS built in a pilot project for a community healthcare centre "the Roerdomp" in Nieuwegein.
It is based on patient information from the centre, combined with general statistical data and generalized indicators from other primary healthcare organizations. Unique of this project is the use of a rich database with real time healthinformation. Data are visualized in maps enabling simple analysis, monitoring of projects and supports information management. The webGIS enables formulating questions and hypothesis such as:
- Is there a relationship between social and economic parameters and disease
- Are addiction patients registered in healthcare centres the same as in other addiction support organizations
- Is there a relation between highways and the prevalence of respiratory problems?
